Common Questions:

We get it. This is new and different. It is the first of its kind here in the Santa Clarita Valley. Yet, there are food halls, ghost kitchens and virtual restaurants all over the internet. So let us demystify this concept for you...

We are proud to be locally owned, independently operated and part of the growing trend for restaurant development & start ups that serve takeout, catering and delivery for any of your day to day needs - like office meetings, busy after school schedule, holiday parties, weekend get togethers or just a quick lunch!

So How Does This Work? What is This Place?

Order online & pick up in the lobby.

The SCV Hub Virtual Food Hall is an online ordering platform for takeout meals, catering packages and food delivery! Similar to the well known e-commerce and online retailers for books, electronics and household items where you add your goods into a cart from various merchants, here you choose from our unique collection of restaurants and put meals, snacks, drinks, desserts and cooked-to-order, made fresh food into your cart. Why? So that you can mix-n-match 100's of food items into one order, one payment and one pick up or delivery!

Where is the Restaurant? Can I See a Menu?

18 commercial kitchens are "in the back".

There is not one menu to review... Why? Basically, the 10,000 square foot location created separate, different and unique menus to choose from! The best way to see all the menus is here online - through our ordering platform: https://order.thescvhub.com

When you arrive at 23460 Cinema Drive, every restaurant is IN UNIT C (The SCV Hub Virtual Food Hall). The reason you can get 100's of items into one order, one payment and one pick up or delivery is... These different business owners are "neighbors" inside The SCV Hub, but they do not share kitchen space. Currently, each restaurant is not a chain - they are all operated separately, and each brand is locally owned.

If you are a driver directed to a restaurant or a customer coming in to get your food, then the lobby of The SCV Hub is your pick up place!

How Do We Call a Specific Restaurant? We have a Request...

There is an SCV Hub phone number, and we can relay info to the restaurants.

Our direct number is (661) 753-3380 (though many of the restaurants also have a phone number). There is not a telephone directory because the business operation is digitally based by design. Click here to see our directory of the restaurants and get more direct access if needed.

If you call us while you are online and looking at the menus or while in your car and looking for a parking space, we can guide you. Our Hub staff does not have direct or complete knowledge of every restaurant ingredient or pricing, but we have access to the owners and staff of every restaurant. So when we take your call and you need to update your online order, or want to ask a menu specific question to any of our restaurants - we can walk into the business and hand over your request to a decision maker.

Just keep in mind that these start up restaurants are both busy and intentionally set up to be efficient at the kitchen aspects of business, so taking your actual order by phone is an exception that only a restaurant owner can accept (there is no option for a Hub staff to take a phone order).

How Do I Order? Can I Pay Cash?

We are an online ordering platform.

We do not accept cash for multiple reasons - it makes for a safer environment with no cash register, no safe and no bank deposits needed. Also to give you as a customer more ordering control... Review menu details, enter your personal info accurately and not be "pressured" by staff to pick and choose until you have decided. We do have kiosks in the building, but the best way to pay is order online and then pick up in the lobby.

Now, our lobby is staffed so that you still get great customer service. The SCV Hub provides a "front of the house" team to greet you, guide your menu choices and then gather food from the restaurants or reach out to the owner/operators when you have allergies, modifications and special requests.

Why is my favorite restaurant closed? Why did they sell out?

No excuses, but it is hard to operate a restaurant.

Each of these foodie establishments has been prepping, then cooking and always cleaning their business day in and day out. Since each of these new businesses are owned by a sole proprietor/restauranteur, they are often starting their business with a dream and passion. So, your favorite restaurant may be closed to give the owner/staff a break or a day off; their time off may be used to get more ingredients or create new recipes; or it could just be a random/unforeseen circumstance that created a closure.

Why do we tell you this? Please support and follow each of these independent operators. Keep in touch through social media accounts like Instagram and Facebook. Subscribe to our email updates and any of the restaurant invites as well. We will not spam you, but rather keep you informed of any changes and details about our progress. They can also let you know of new or different situations that arise, and ultimately - we earn your loyalty as we grow and succeed together.

Can I sit down? Is there a place to dine in?

The lobby is a pick up place for your next take out meal.

If there was a multi-story parking structure or many more allotted parking spaces in the lot, then we could have been a sit down, dine in establishment. Instead, we're virtual. You can wait on a stool in our lobby while your food is made fresh, and then take that amazing meal to your office, the park, home to your couch or over to your friend's place.

So, let us serve your busy life with prepared meals that you can not typically cook from home... like fried catfish, Persian Koobideh, a Pitaya Berry Smoothie, Singaporean Laksa Noodle Bowl, a Buneulo ice cream sandwich or the many, many other unique and wonderful foodie options!

Additional Thoughts and Concerns

Why can't we order from the restaurant face-to-face?

Is this just one big "Ghost Kitchen"?

Because the floorplan has each restaurant in one of the eighteen commercial kitchens in the back. Also, since we are an online ordering platform - so you can mix-n-match different menus from these separately owned restaurants! *This unique design gives business owners/entrepreneurs a lower cost to entry and it helps locals to get started in the restaurant business!

No. A ghost kitchen is often a second brand being cooked by the same chef(s) and sold through the delivery apps/or a small brand that does not typically have a visible storefront. In our virtual food hall - there are separate restaurants without an exclusive store front, BUT they are each a primary brand and they're separately operated by one or more chefs - each within their own space!

Why does the food take so long if ordered in the lobby?

Why do we call all these brands: "real" restaurants?

Many of these restaurants are brand new, start up businesses! Plus, the food is made fresh
and each concept takes pride in cooking to order. While you wait in the lobby and can't see the chef in action... Each chef/owner is busy! Their volume of busy-ness may take upwards 30 minutes (i.e. other delivery & digital orders). Next time order 1st then pick up in the lobby!

Every food business in The SCV Hub has gone through a complete approval process, including a plan check and health permit from the LA COUNTY HEALTH DEPT. Their kitchen space and equipment must all be commercial grade; their food and menu is uniquely designed and crafted to a "foodie level" with all business aspects being equal to a real restaurant.
